I have been looking into colour theory and did these little colour experiments. In the first, all the squares are different, but they are all variations of desaturated blues in some form or other. I really like the relationships that are happening between the different squares.
Using different varieties of the same hue, but keeping them tonally similar makes for some interesting relationships.
The second experiment takes some desaturated blues (okay, one is definitely leaning heavily towards green!) and throws in a very vibrant, saturated orange. The contrast makes the orange really jump off the page. I’d like to incorporate this into some work in the future.
